OpenStack & Beyond Podcast - Episode 4 | Is OpenStack Really Ready for the EnterprisePosted By: Jeremy Hess on August 19, 2015
We’re back with the newest episode of OpenStack & Beyond, the podcast that discusses everything OpenStack. We are really excited to bring you this much anticipated episode featuring two great panelists – Lauren Nelson, a senior analyst from Forrester Research and Kristian Köhntopp, a veteran cloud architect from hosting company SysEleven.
This is the first time we have had two guests on the show whom each come from a different position in relation to OpenStack, one from a research perspective and the other from a hands-on perspective.
The topic of this podcast, as noted in the title of this post, is “Is OpenStack Really Ready for the Enterprise?” This episode was mainly based on Lauren’s May 18th report entitled, “OpenStack is Ready – Are You?” which you can download from the OpenStack website.

What makes this episode so interesting is that panelist Kristian Köhntopp just recently took part in presenting a talk at the German Open Source Data Center conference in April entitled, “45 Minutes of OpenStack Hate.” That should be self-explanatory.
Suffice it to to say that there were some points that Lauren and Kris are not quite in agreement about. So, enjoy this podcast and let us know what you think!
